We are Flipping for JOY in 1B! I told them no homework one day and they started screaming how much they love me and how great I am.

    

                                                      

Cartwheels are so FUN!

Science Fridays are a BIG HIT!

 Friday Science projects are so fun!  We learned about Force and Motion. We learned that a paper airplane flies the same way a real airplane flies, using force and motion.  The child wrote in their Science Journals, then we had the big airplane flying contest. 

Science/ Math
Last Friday, we graphed our apples to see which color was the most popular then we split the shiny rubies to find the star inside! it was so much fun..lot os screaming and yelling! Mr. Demers even popped in to say what is that this noise about!

School Mass- We were so excited to celebrate the first school mass with our class. The children loved the poster with all of 1b's pets on it! I couldn't get over how perfect;y 1b behaved the entire mass. 

I am so lucky to have such a great group of first graders! 

In phonics, we are continuing to review our short vowel sounds. The trick word tests have been AWESOME! Keep practicing, it is very important that we master these tricky words. 

In math, we are using many different strategies to how we can add tow numbers. Last week, we did a  lot of practice with doubles. If you know your doubles you can do doubles plus 1 and learn a few more your of facts.
