Trick Word Test

We have learned all of the grade 1 trick words, and I am so proud of how of these kids. I sent them home a packet of them so that they could practice the ones that are still tricky for them. We will have an assessment on all the words on Friday May 21st. 

Butterflies

We had a very exciting day today, our caterpillars have arrived! The children were so excited to meet their new little friend. We wrote about it in our butterfly journals. We will continue to observe our caterpillars each day and see the many different stages. 

Religion

The rocks for our Blessed Mother Mary came out so good. The children worked hard and were proud of how they came out. We will be learning how to pray the rosary this week, as well as do other Mary crafts. 

Math

We are really growing up in the math world and moving on to double digit math. The children are loving this challenge. We are trig to get them to always start in the ones column and use their math fact knowledge to get the sums.
