Apple Science and Math- In Science, we discussed our senses and used our senses with our apple unit. The students also loved joining with 1A and doing our fun apple experiment. Slicing the apples was so fun because we all found the STAR inside! We graphed the apples by color, we weighed the apples on a scale and we predicted if we thought they would float or sink.
Phonics- In phonics, the children did a great job on their Unit 2 assessments. We are adding in more trick words and we have learned the new diagraph cards.. th, sh, wh, ch and ck.
Reading Buddies- Today we got to have a fun Friday craft with our Reading Buddies. It was great to see the kids use their creative thinking skills to make the black cat in their own spooky setting. The third graders were challenged to write a story about the picture and they will share these stories next week with our class.
