These kids are working so hard and I have noticed especially last Friday that they are VERY TIRED! Getting into the full swing of things can be hard. First grade is a lot of work and structure. We have been taking many movement breaks to get these kids moving, but the transition can be hard. The best thing you can do is get these little ones to bed early, it makes a huge difference.
